Build a Company That Cannot Be Bought
A lot of startup founders want to build a company that can be acquired. Building a company with the intention of being acquired is like going into a romantic relationship with the breakup plan. They are wasting their time. If I love my company and what it is doing, why would I ever want to sell? They are also thinking too small. I want to build a company that nobody can buy.
